Run21 Club Calgary

Mondays at 6:30pm (April - December) and occasionally through the winter - locations vary. Saturdays at 8:00am year-round for longer runs - locations vary.

Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. All ages (18yr+) and abilities are welcome.

Usual distance: 5km - 35km

Formerly the University of Calgary Marathon Training Program (circa 1982) - Run21 is a running club with a social problem. We invite anyone looking for a nice group of runners to play with, to consider joining us. We typically train for a Spring and a Fall event with the earlier date targeting the 10k to Half Marathon and finishing with a half marathon or marathon in the Fall - although all runners are accommodated, whatever the distance. If you are just getting started or looking to 'take it up a notch' without the pressures of intra-group competition, this may be the group for you. A running schedule is prepared by the long-time coach of this group, Colleen Parsons, and caters to all distances desired by the team members. Ongoing assistance with changes to your program are possible and volunteer Run Captains ensure no one gets lost. If you are looking to get faster or just looking to finish, Run21 Club can meet your needs. There is an annual membership fee that covers a number of benefits throughout the year. If you like, you can join as a social member or to try us out before committing. Tailgait (tailgate) events occur spontaneously after Saturday runs and pub-night Monday runs are frequent. Did we mention the social problem?

Wednesday mornings at 7:30AM at Southcentre Executive Tower 11012 Macleod Trail SE, T2J6A5

Beginner, Intermediate

Usual distance: 2km to 5km

Our crew consists of the physiotherapists, chiropractors, kinesiologists, and massage therapists of Pro Motion Calgary. There are two route options, a 2km route, or a 5km route. Both routes head east around sections of Willow Park Golf & Country club. We organized this group to provide our patients and community members in general with an opportunity to have two introductory level running loops, at a convenient time before working hours. During the runs we often assess gait patterns, and can advise participants on potential stretches/exercises they might want to incorporate to help improve their running performance. Again there is no cost to this running club. The more the merrier!

Showcase your crew

Run Calgary exists to GET PEOPLE MOVING!
One way we do that (when we aren't putting on races of course!) is to connect runners to local clubs and crews so they have more opportunity to move throughout the year. Tell us about your run crew / club and we can connect you to more like-minded runners and feature that info on runcalgary.com
