Love is Love Mile

Sunday Sept 3, 2023

The Love is Love Mile is back in 2023! This race takes places on closed downtown city streets on the parade route before the Pride Parade begins. Like all Run Calgary events, this is an inclusive event and everyone is welcome.

Our goals are many... to bring two exceptional communities together, fundraise for Calgary Pride, make fitness more accessible to the LGBTQ2S+ (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer Two-Spirit +) community and finally to further a culture of learning and allyship in the running community.

Overview

Launched in 2020, the Love is Love Mile was created to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of Calgary Pride. Run Calgary is proud to support Calgary Pride, the LGBTQ2S+ community, and hopes that this race will continue to bring more love to this wonderful city.

The in-person Love is Love Mile will take place on Sunday September 3, 2023, and occur on the Calgary Pride Parade route prior to the parade kicking off. The virtual Love is Love Mile will take place during Calgary Pride week, August 25, 2023 - September 4, 2023.
